Baroque Oboe Literature

Hello, nice you're here. When I started with the baroque oboe, I found it difficult to get my hands on sources about reed making and other issues related to playing, and I found that there wasn't a good starting point listing various references. So here I aim to make available a list of the things I have read over time, hoping that it may be of some use to others. This does not claim to be an exhaustive list of references since my knowledge about this is very limited. If you know of references that should have been here but aren't, please drop me a line so that I can add it for the benefit of all.

• Bruce Haynes, Baroque Oboe Reed Making. There is a similar paper in PDF but shorter.
• Harry A. Vas Dias, Making reeds for the Baroque Oboe.
• Marianne Richert Pfau and Björn Lindemann, The Hautboys Reed Book. This is a great bilingual book in English and German, but may be hard to get a copy of. You may try worldcat if you have access to an academic library, or you may find it for purchase online.
